Volunteer Instructions - needs to be completed each season

Login to your account on ayso117.org - complete the Volunteer Application - Coaches need to complete app for each age group they wish to coach.  Referees need to complete application one time per season (any age division).

  Once you are logged in to your Volunteer Dashboard you can view your status for each item below:

1. Risk Status – click check box next to item then Renew & Update bottom right. This will prompt you to verify your name and address.  You will then receive an email titled “Your AYSO Background Check is Incomplete – Please submit now.” Please check your junk folder if you do not see.  You will need to click link to confirm and login/register in Sterling background system.  Follow prompts until you have clicked “Submit Order.”  Background checks are valid for 15 months.
2. Concussion Awareness – click AYSOU button top right of dashboard. This will take you to AYSOU.  Click Training Library on left column – then under Safe Haven click View Courses. Click Enroll in CDC Concussion Awareness – Online Course.  Once course is completed you will need to upload your certificate into your Volunteer Dashboard.
3. Fingerprinting – a one time AYSO requirement, does not carry over from other organizations. 
4. Sudden Cardiac Arrest – click AYSOU button top right of dashboard. This will take you to AYSOU.  Click Training Library on left column – then under Safe Haven click View Courses. Click Enroll in Sudden Cardiac Arrest – Online Course.  Once course is completed you will need to upload your certificate into your Volunteer Dashboard.
5. AYSO Safe Haven – click AYSOU button top right of dashboard. This will take you to AYSOU.  Click Training Library on left column – then under Safe Haven click View Courses. Click Enroll in AYSO’s Safe Haven.  Once course is completed you will need to upload your certificate into your Volunteer Dashboard.
6. Safe Sport - https://safesporttrained.org/?KeyName=tsVWe36Xa6PS3b5NzOug - a refresher course is required every 15 months
7. Coaching License – Schoolyard, U6 and U8 can be completed online.  U10-U19 require half in person, half online.  You can view upcoming courses in AYSOU – click the AYSOU button top right – Search by Training Event for local classes.
